Liz Khalighi MA, RSSW is a Founder, Clinic Director at Milton Psychotherapy Centre based in Milton, Ontario, Canada, North America. Liz is a dedicated and highly skilled Psychotherapist registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She holds a Social Service Work diploma from Humber College, an Undergraduate Degree in Sociology and Philosophy from University of Toronto, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Graduate Degree from Yorkville University. In 2022, Liz founded the Milton Psychotherapy Centre and stands as the Clinic Director. Milton Psychotherapy Centre is a dynamic and accessible mental health clinic serving the Halton and Peel communities, in person, with virtual service options throughout Ontario. Milton Psychotherapy Centre is also an approved training facility that hosts Counselling Psychology Intern students. These students support the MPC Reduced Rate Therapy program; eliminating barriers to access affordable and high quality mental health services. With over 20 years of clinical experience delivering mental health services to Adults and Families, Liz is trained in EMDR, Clinical Consultation, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Polyvagal Theory-Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). Liz is passionate about the treatment of paediatric Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attachment Parenting, Judgment Free Parenting, Family Systems, and Trauma recovery. In addition to her Clinical Private Practice, Liz has been a guest lecturer for the Workplace Health and Wellness Bachelor of Arts Program at Humber College. She provides business coaching for therapists building their private practices, mentoring for aspiring therapists, and clinical supervision to established therapists and graduate students. More recently, Liz has been a guest mental health consultant for the Netflix/CBC television production “Coroner.”
