Selvam Sridharan is a CEO/ Chief Mentor at Acumen Group of Companies based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Asia. I come from a modest family of engineers, where my passion for technical knowledge and business acumen was nurtured well before I earned my formal degree in engineering. My relentless curiosity and determination to confront the evolving challenges of modern industry have been the driving forces behind my career growth. My formative years, spent under the guidance of my father while contributing to Southern Railways, laid a strong foundation and sparked my ambition to pursue more. I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey with humble beginnings, starting in powder coating as a contractor with a small but dedicated team. My persistence soon allowed me to diversify into sandblasting, galvanizing, and other industrial services. In 2008, I founded Sai Himadri Industries, marking the inception of what has now grown into the Acumen Group of Companies—a conglomerate that includes Acumen Synergy Private Limited, Sai Himadri Exports, Sai Himadri Industries, TATE, and our philanthropic arm, SHI Foundation. Our presence is firmly established in Chennai, Gujarat, and Saudi Arabia, with plans to extend our global footprint further.
