Most companies need all of their internal resources just to keep existing products going and this is a different skill set than those need to conceive and develop new ones. Our ability to develop, source and merchandise the products we conceive helps make it easier for companies to say yes to the product ideas we show them. A hybrid of the two has proven to work very well as companies may have identified a market they would like to enter, but do not have the staff or financial resources to conceive and develop what they need. This approach usually involves reduced work for hire fees and a royalty, providing WhiteBoard with a continual revenue stream if the product is successful. WhiteBoard Product Solutions, is a full-service product development consultancy (located in Eden Prairie, MN) servicing industries ranging from consumer products to medical devices. We feel the exposure to the various industries is key to keeping us fresh and promotes innovation. We employ 30 people and our creative staff ranges from graphic and industrial designers, inventors, engineers and model-makers. Our facility encompasses 23,000 square feet. Services offered include upfront research including voice of the customer (VOC), validation plus industrial design, product engineering, prototyping and product/device packaging and promotion.
