Philipp Baier is a Founder at LifeXperiences Events & Incentives based in Greater Palma De Mallorca Metropolitan Area, Spain, Europe. Philipp is passionate about nature and he thrives best when challenged by her elements. Whether it be kitesurfing the winds, surfing the waves, or free riding on extreme mountain peaks, he is committed to combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his love for nature to create a positive impact. Philipp is owner of LifeXperiences, a well-established destination management company offering high-end incentive travel to the Balearics, as well as experience based travel to East and Southern Africa. His most recent project, the Cleanwave Foundation, serves as an initiator of community led projects that provide conservation, protection and regeneration of land and sea in the Mediterranean. Medgardens.org and Cleanwave.org are now both part of the Cleanwave Foundation. Cleanwave.org a non-profit initiative that sets out to provide sustainable alternatives to single use plastic water bottles was incorporated into the Foundation in late 2020. Cleanwave has set up a network of water refill stations across the islands of Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera, and the initiative has expanded as a social movement, working closely with government, civil society and businesses across the islands. The award winning Cleanwave documentary film ‘Out of Plastic’ has been widely screened across the Balearic Islands and internationally, and the Cleanwave school program has expanded exponentially, deeply impacting childrens’ relationship to plastic, nature and the sea. Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Philipp has always looked for new horizons. After school he was offered a scholarship to study Business Science at the University of Cape Town where he also played semi-professional rugby. After his studies he was employed as international development manager for “paybox”, a fast growing mobile payment company. This was followed by a 14 month sabbatical on the world’s open seas, where he delivered sailing yachts and sailed in world class regattas. This lead to settling on Mallorca, where he was employed as marketing director for a luxury yacht charter broker and a private airline. In 2003 he founded a South African travel company “Heaven Must Wait Travel” and in 2005 the Spanish company “LifeXperiences”. He spends his free time with his family, traveling or enjoying outdoor sports activities.
