TME, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, owns and manages a portfolio of commercial real estate and Taco Bell and Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants. Michael is currently a member of: the Board of Trustees for Clark Atlanta University; Leadership Greater Washington class of 2007; the Dallas Bar Foundation (Life Fellow), President of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (Greater Washington DC Chapter), the Board Directors of Merit Bank (Goff, Kansas), Board of Directors Urban League of Northern Virginia; and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity Inc. He is past member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and past member Advisory Board of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship; Michael is admitted to the bar in multiple states, the United States Supreme Court Bar, and is a registered patent attorney and a registered sports agent. In prior positions he was Vice President and Director of intellectual property licensing for Motorola Inc., Deputy General Counsel for Intellectual Property for Pitney Bowes, Director and Chief Patent Counsel for MCI Communications Corporation, and European Legal Counsel for Texas Instruments Inc. (residing in Nice, France for three years). He is a published author and frequent lecturer on topics pertaining to intellectual property law. He recently wrote the foreword for Little Blues – How to Build a Culture of Intellectual Property Within a Small Technology Company.
