He got his start in tech at the early age of 11, when his interest in programming and internet technologies led him to build websites for local businesses. He boasts 25+ years of computer programming experience - particularly 8 years of experience with cloud architecture and 6 years of experience with GOlang. Lee and his twin brother Lucas co-founded TUNE just over a decade ago to provide digital marketing technology as a service to marketers. During his time building TUNE, Lee developed a deep understanding of scalability, flexibility, and spearheading API-driven data layers. He was focused on understanding the repeatable patterns of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and specifically SaaS for business-to-business (B2B). As an early adopter of Amazon Web Services, his teams created new and innovative solutions that fueled business growth and established TUNE’s products as industry leading. He developed a unique capability for planning, building and growing enterprise-level software solutions. After ten years at TUNE, Lee refocused his energy to launch Geeks In The Woods - a collection of software engineers and angel investors that work remote, yet connected, in Alaska. As both a software architect and engineer, Lee now helps entrepreneurs in Alaska build tech as a strategic asset. With their startup program Geeks Venture Studio, Lee and Lucas partner with entrepreneurs as their co-founders to build and invest in software startups. While his twin focuses on the business aspect of each startup, Lee leads the engineering - from prototype to production. Lee also shares his passion for software technology as a board member of Geeks Accelerator.
