Kai Xi is a Co-founder at CamBattery Ltd based in Greater Cambridge Area, United Kingdom, Europe. Mr. Kai Xi is currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge. He received his M.Eng. degree in Applied Chemistry from Nankai University and B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from Xi’an Jiaotong University. My research is materials chemistry for renewable energy conversion and storage, especially for lithium-sulphur (Li-S) batteries, lithium-ion batteries and solar energy cells. I am a co-founder of the CamBattery team, which has recently been awarded Technology Start Up of the Year by Cambridge University Entrepreneurs, and First-prize in High-tech by CSSA-UK High-level Entrepreneurship Challenge in 2012.
