Josh Ray is a Founder at Blackwire Labs, LLC based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, United States, North America. I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and cybersecurity executive with a passion to make organizations (in every industry and sector) more cyber resilient. I have a mission to combat advanced cyber threats, secure emerging technologies (Web3, Quantum, Space & AI) and build world class capabilities. I have demonstrated expertise in solving business problems across the commercial, private, public, and military sectors where I've led both global product and services businesses for over 24 years. My career has been composed of building innovative capabilities to defend some of the world’s most targeted networks (.com & .mil), companies and organizations against advanced cyber adversaries. While at Accenture, I served as the Global Security Lead for Emerging Technologies & Cyber Defense. The mission of the Emerging Technology Security team is to drive Accenture's security innovation portfolio and to secure the technologies that are critical to the next generation of the global economy. Prior to that role I was the Global Cyber Defense Practice Lead for Accenture Security where I was focused on leading both the business and delivery aspects of Accenture’s Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Red Team, Advanced Adversary Simulation, Application Security and Cyber Threat Operations Transformation & Advisory Services. Prior to Accenture’s acquisition of iDefense, I was responsible for Verisign’s enterprise Cyber Intelligence Program as well as the operations and product strategy for the iDefense business as GM. During my work with Raytheon, I created and managed the Cyber Threat Operations Intelligence Program, which handled enterprise-wide intelligence activities focusing on defining and providing early warning of advanced cyber threats targeting Raytheon’s networks. I've also held technical leadership roles with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and the Northrop Grumman Corporation at the Joint Task Force – Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO), providing intelligence support to focused operations. I hold a Bachelor of Science in information technology from George Mason University, Executive Certificates in Strategy & Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Business Implications from MIT Sloan School of Management, and proud to have served honorably as a member of the US Navy. I'm an active member of the cybersecurity community and a regular guest on the Cyber Wire podcast.
