Joe Philleo is a Co-founder, CEO at Edia Learning, Inc. based in San Francisco Bay Area, United States, North America. I am the Cofounder and CEO of Edia, the leading AI Platform for K-12 Education. We believe that school shapes trajectories, and our mission is to enable every student to have an exceptional experience in school. Today, Edia partners with 130+ leading districts across the country (e.g. Fulton County, Loudoun County, Palm Beach) to dramatically improve student outcomes for math, attendance, and MTSS. Before Edia, I dropped out of college (USC, Applied Mathematics) to work with Joe Lonsdale, a billionaire entrepreneur who built Palantir ($100B+), Addepar ($5B+), and OpenGov ($1B+). Working with Joe at 8VC, I saw the huge impact that technology can have on the world — from self-driving cars to AR glasses, to AI doctors — and I was disappointed with the outdated products being sold to districts. In 2020, I brought together a team of top Silicon Valley engineers and designers, and together we started Edia. Improving education is my life's mission — in high school, I built a website called "booksarelong.com" to crowdsource AP textbooks, and in college I applied Google's PageRank algorithm to Wikipedia in an effort to map all of human knowledge into micro-courses.
