Jennifer Weis is a Founder and Literary Agent at The Weis Agency based in New York City Metropolitan Area, United States, North America. I've always had a passion for all things literary. After receiving my BA and MA in English from Yale University, I worked at St. Martin’s Press for over 30 years, serving as an Executive Editor and publishing bestselling titles like Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, Climate of Hope by Michael Bloomberg, Baby Teeth by Zoe Stage, and Renia’s Diary by Renia Spiegel. In the fall of 2019, I moved to the other side of the desk and became an agent at Ross Yoon Agency. After several years there, I decided to take my hands-on approach to client development to the next level by founding my own agency. The Weis Agency is a premier literary agency and book developer that identifies the literary stars of tomorrow. My areas of specialty include high-concept, cleverly plotted bookclub fiction of all categories, and nonfiction with new voices and new angles on perennial subjects. Above all, I'm looking for books with a hook, a strong voice, and a powerful plot.
