Jen Wressell is a Founder & Clinical Director at Mindful Innovative Action based in Fingal, Victoria, Australia, Oceania. Over the last 15 years I have found myself in some pretty amazing work and life situations and the common factor has always been people. I love people, their stories and the way we interact with each other, but the way that people communicate through their behaviours has always fascinated me the most. How many times have you known that something is not right because of someone's behaviour, but someone either hasn't been able to tell you or hasn't wanted to tell you what was wrong? It is not always easy to articulate what is wrong. Sometimes we don't know, our subconscious is just telling us that a need is not being met. Sometimes we do know but we are afraid to ask, our behaviours will give us away. Sometimes we do not have the skills to ask in an appropriate way, or some-one might have sensory challenges that mean that they have extreme reactions to situations that few others find overwhelming. My passion is helping individuals and groups understand what their behaviour is communicating and how environmental, structural and interpersonal changes can make a huge difference to our lives and getting our needs met.
