For several decades he guided and facilitated diverse creative teams in conceiving and developing original and brand focused user experiences, on screens and in places. • Jan was a 'Story Place-Maker' with broad-based conceptual skills designing innovative media experiences, visitor attractions, world's fair/expo pavilions, themed entertainment concepts, and destination resorts. • Jan's expertise included story writing, art direction, interactive media design, immersive media and theatrical attraction design, architecture, and master planning. • Jan continues to have a special interest in the creation and development of media based content for the arts and entertainment. • Jan is an accomplished artist, having produced numerous paintings of which several relate to his home town of Edinburgh, Scotland. • Jan has participated in many sports over the years. Early on it was Rugby and Cricket, followed by Rowing, Squash and Skiing. He was a member of the Scottish Schools Eight's Crew and was the Scottish School's Sculling Champion in 1967. He is a supporter of Liverpool Football (Soccer) Club.
