Hayden Ferriby is a Co Founder & Director at Next Phase based in London, England, United Kingdom, Europe. Hayden has a wealth of experience in senior management within SME's across a range of industry sectors and has considerable experience in business start-ups and business development. After establishing a successful business in design and IT, and assisting with the establishment of a regional fuel distribution company, Hayden became a consultant specialising in increasing income for shopping centres and retail parks by identifying underused areas of sites and creating previously untapped income streams. Through his work with commercialisation, marketing and PR companies, Hayden was one of the initial providers for experiential marketing using shopping centres, retail parks and public space. Hayden joined Quarterbridge, at the time the UK’s leading market and food hall specialists, in 2010, heading the specialist in-house lettings department alongside working on projects to create and redevelop markets and food halls across the UK, before becoming Commercial Director in 2013. As part of Quarterbridge's award-winning multi-disciplined team, Hayden was key to a wide range of successful and award-winning market developments, operational reviews and lettings campaigns. Covering an eclectic range of markets from street markets, specialist markets, food festivals, food halls and full-scale market hall redevelopments. From 2018 till 2023, he was a director of Market Asset Management, one of the UK’s largest food hall and market operational companies, leading the day-to-day operations of the company, acquiring new locations and heading up the senior management team within the company. As market projects are highly political on a local or regional level, high levels of engagement are required to relate to stakeholders views. Hayden has led engagement on key projects such as the modernisation of Brixton’s markets, including Electric Avenue. Hayden believes that markets and food halls need to be seen as multi-functional social hubs, creating a centre for activity, entertainment, dining and shopping within the community. Each location is unique to its local community. With placemaking now at the forefront of regeneration projects, Hayden has been one of the leaders in working on market-centred and event-based regeneration projects. In 2021 Hayden moved away from Quarterbridge to co-found Market Curators, a team focused on creating the most exciting and diverse modern markets and food halls, supporting town centre regeneration, and providing successful grant fund writing support for regeneration projects.
