Prior to starting Porchlight, I was a 10-year veteran of The Home Depot. There, I gained invaluable knowledge from the retail floor to the corner office and everything in between. But I didn’t get from Home Depot to owning my own shop overnight. After a decade with The Home Depot, I decided to leave and try something a little different with Newell-Rubbermaid, but when the decision was made to move headquarters out of state, I chose to stay in Atlanta. For a while, I did freelance design and one project after another rolled in. Before I knew it, I had more projects than I could handle, so I enlisted a few folks to help me and work from my dining room table. And at that table in 2004, Porchlight was born. Fifteen years later and I own a design agency in West Midtown, Atlanta with a handful of employees working on clients like The Home Depot, Genie, and Berry Plastics. So, you can see, hard work pays off. From that, our company motto came to life: Hardworking Design. At Porchlight, we provide branding and packaging strategy, as well as digital and social media management. Our niche is in Home Improvement, but we have worked on projects spanning from grocery store packaging design to electric vehicle social media management.
