Doug Lessing is a Founder at Phin Social Enterprises PBC based in Blue Point, New York, United States, North America. In 1990, Doug Lessing graduated from St. Michael's College in Winooski (Onion), Vermont. He followed in the footsteps of big sister Susan Burke and joined Firebrand in December 1990—spending nearly 30 years developing software, managing projects, and establishing relationships with great publishing companies. In 2012, Doug became President of Firebrand Technologies. In this role, he was given the opportunity to preach about the Firebrand philosophy. "The greatest reward working with Firebrand" he says, "has been the friendships forged both in house and with publishers through long days of hard work." After serving as President of Firebrand for several years, Doug decided it was time to create a new company to use the power of business to make a difference in the world. In 2019, he founded Phin, a for-profit, for-good marketing services company offering a reward points platform dedicated to improving engagement between companies, their consumers and the social impact causes they are passionate about. Born and bred on the south shore of Long Island along the Great South Bay, Doug can't be away from the water for long, even though he loves visiting Lincoln, Nebraska for a day or two. Husband to Grace and father of three young women, Doug has the clear advantage of always being informed instantly if he has done or said something wrong. His life is further 'enhanced' by his two young, rambunctious, female springer spaniels - Sadie and Piper. These two wonder girls round out the 100% female family that surrounds him day and night. And he is a far better person for it. The family lives to cruise on their boat; or lounge around and dive in the tropics. If it's windy, he will be out kiteboarding with his family. To avoid being one dimensional, Doug mixes in a love of reading books and woodworking.
