After my own boys went off to college—one to Princeton to study Sociology and Theater, the other to Wash U in St. Louis to study Engineering—I realized I had just completed my first college counseling training program: being a parent. That experience sparked my desire to help other families navigate the college admissions journey with empathy, strategy, and confidence. I founded Monarch College Counseling after receiving my College Counseling Certificate with Distinction from UCLA and completing the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Summer Training Institute. With this industry-specific foundation, combined with a Finance degree from the University of Illinois, I bring a comprehensive and practical perspective to the admissions process. As a parent and professional, I understand how emotional and overwhelming this journey can be. That’s why I work closely with students and their families to uncover individual strengths, identify best-fit colleges, and craft authentic applications that reflect each student’s unique voice. Acting as a caring and knowledgeable third party, I help families find clarity in a process that’s often filled with uncertainty.
