Deborah Adams (she/her) is a Registrar and CEO at College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario based in Canada, North America. As a seasoned health leader, I have the benefit of experience both in care delivery and professional regulation. I have had the privilege of leading organizations through successful growth and change with involvement from the strategy and policy development stages through to implementation and ongoing operations. This breadth of experience has provided me with a full understanding of the health care system and appreciation for the perspectives of multiple stakeholders. In senior staff and executive roles, I have earned a reputation as a collaborative and supportive leader who knows how to support all members of a team to contribute effectively to an organization’s goals. I understand how to work with a Board of Directors as well as how to liaise between front line staff and executive leaders. I am keenly aware of the importance of good governance and the role of culture in creating a positive work environment and fulfilling organizational mandate. I bring a practical, knowledgeable and insightful approach to my work. I am always eager to expand on my skill set and experience and so consider every challenge an opportunity to learn from the people with whom I work and the individuals and communities we serve.
