After graduation at Penn State in 1980, with a finance major / business minor and I was hired at PNC Bank as a retail banking officer. I was promoted to District Manager in 1983 & Regional Executive in 1985 of South Allegheny Region in charge of 18 branches, 300 employees with assets of $1.3 billion. Our region was recognized 3 years in a row, as Region of the Year, at PNC. After 16 years in retail, I spent my last 4 years as manager of South Hills Private Banking team. I left PNC after 20 years , to become an Investment Consultant with Merrill Lynch & joined their Private Client Group. We were the #1 growth office 3 years in a row. I received a national award for the most assets under management for all Investment Consultants hired by Merrill Lynch in 2000. After Merrill...I spent a few years developing property and building patio homes in Pittsburgh area. I also own a landscape construction company named StoneMakers of Western Pa. (Stonemakers Pittsburgh.com) Over the last 7 years we completed many restaurants, residential, hotels, country clubs, children's hospitals and our last project was the Pittsburgh Zoo project named " The Islands." I brought my son Anthony into StoneMakers to take over in near future.
