My last role was Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at RaiseMe, which helps close the achievement gap by transforming how billions of dollars in financial aid are distributed each year. I architected and developed a robust platform and grew the engineering org from 1 to 20+. I presided over technology as we grew from pre-seed through Series B and earned millions in revenue. As a Software Architect at ThoughtMatrix, I architected and developed websites and apps for notable clients. I co-founded Guess Your Songs (an iOS app), which launched in February 2012 and had nearly 500k downloads by the time it was decommissioned. I designed, built and deployed the iHound location-based platform which launched in November 2007, was acquired in December 2010 by SafetyWeb, and was subsequently acquired by Experian. I have 25+ years of experience architecting and implementing scalable software systems. I independently produced approximately two dozen apps and games which were for sale in app stores and markets, and I've distributed four albums of original music (as "Dave Schuman" and "Liquid Playground") through iTunes, Spotify, and other platforms. I'm also a family man who enjoys strength and conditioning fitness, playing music, designing board games, and playing board/video games with my kids. I'm also a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
