I am also an experienced and successful manager and executive, having run my own companies and many engineering teams. I prefer to stress my strength as a developer, because I believe that my strength in that endeavour is the key to all of my other strengths. When I am in the position of building a company or a team, I approach that task in much the same way as when I build complex software; It is an exercise in visualizing the results and ensuring that all of the details are put in place to ensure that the whole comes together and operates with harmony and precision.
