Chris formed Acadiance in 2024 to deliver investment-grade nature-based carbon credits and realize above-market triple (financial, climate, social) bottom-line returns. In 2021, with 30+ years of financial services, fintech, and investment industry market leadership and innovation serving multi-billion-dollar institutions, families, and non-profits, Chris became curious as to how the global capital markets and the investment industries might solve climate. Chris started studying Climate Finance (coursework at EDHEC Business School, Paris), Social Finance (e.g. Social Impact Bonds), and Chris realized his deep experience in capital markets and fintech was uniquely suited for this worthwhile endeavor, and that the scale and results-oriented nature of the private sector and capital markets are a necessity to move the needle. Chris has led teams, new business efforts, and marketed and managed multiple innovative complex investment and fintech platforms and teams for global financial services leaders and early-stage innovators, earning platform (Forbes Best of the Web, AboveTrade) and individual performer (Impact Player of the Year, Fidelity Investments) awards along the way. Schwab Equity Ratings, Merrill Lynch Financial Advisory Center, Fidelity WealthScape are a few other market-leading fintech platforms Chris helped design, manage, and market, upon which hundreds of billions of dollars of all sorts of financial assets reside and transact every day. With experience across the risk and liquidity spectrum on behalf of some of the world’s largest pools of capital, like Yale’s Endowment, CALPERS, the Governments of Singapore and Australia, and billionaire global families. During Chris’ tenure as Chair of the Investment Committee at his alma mater, the Dexter-Southfield School in Brookline, MA, the school’s endowment portfolio more than tripled in value.
