Centered in the heartland, we are an Iowa based firm with a national presence. We focus specifically on high level executive search partnering with companies on retained, confidential searches for leadership positions including C-suite and retirement transitions. It’s what you'd expect to happen when a farm kid explores heavy highway and construction; the same curiosity that pushed me to climb into tractor cabs as a child is what keeps me invested in the these industries. I not only know what parts keep the machinery moving, I know what people, and what types of candidates, keep companies moving, too. The Heavy Metal Recruiting division by the Luksan Group was born from this pride and respect. Growing up on a farm, I learned early on how much a company’s growth and success depended on the human capital that powered it. Small farms didn’t grow because of one good year of corn prices; farms grew because there was a team of people who worked well together, with a similar vision, and complementary skill sets and experiences. With both new and existing clients, I believe in two things: information and communication. I do my homework, and I ask the right questions. I also make a point to keep communication lines clear and open. All this is to say that I take the hard work out of Heavy Metal Recruiting; I make a point to learn as much as I can so that my clients can focus on their business while I help them build a team that can push them up and onward. I understand that the companies who currently overwhelm the heavy highway and agriculture industries didn’t start out that way. They all were once small firms with a resilient grip on a market corner. Often it wasn’t their idea or product that pushed them into the global marketplace; it was a key player or a strategic assembly of enterprising talent. As for what I do off the job, first I have a fantastic husband of 35 years, along with 3 amazing grown kids. I enjoy running, reading, an avid exerciser, and enjoy as much time possible with our children and their ventures. And that’s where my team and I come in.
