In my current role as the Associate Section Chief and Medical Director for the Inpatient Medicine Division at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Center, as well as one of the Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, I have had the opportunity to lead teams, implement improvements to patient care, and contribute to the education and development of other healthcare providers. I have also completed my MD, MBA, and an Entrepreneurship program, as well as advanced leadership and learning to lead programs at Banner Health and the University of Arizona, respectively. Since 2009, I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings. As a leader, I have received several awards for excellence in teaching, academic excellence, and workflow improvement, and have implemented initiatives that have helped improve patient throughput and resident education. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I have also been involved in several committees and organizations that work to improve patient care, provider satisfaction, and medical education.
