Andy Nelson is a Founder at The Glow Land based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, North America. If there is one thing that sets me apart, it's my passion; I truly care about every new client I decide to work with. Now that I have my own business, I can provide the level of service I've always dreamed of. I care about being truly effective, making a difference, treating people with the dignity that they deserve, and having fun while doing it. I love Milwaukee, but there's a lot to work on, and I'm so grateful I get to shine a positive spotlight on the things that make this city a better place to live! Before starting my own business, I led PR and marketing teams in a variety of worlds, from the entertainment business to a public school district to a large independent ad agency. At Milwaukee Public Schools, I worked to lift up the district by transforming its communications strategies and shining a positive spotlight on the more than 75,000 kids they serve. Prior to that, I worked for a decade, helping to create a previously lacking live music and comedy scene in Milwaukee at the Pabst Theater Group. During my time there, I promoted thousands of national touring acts, working with everyone from Aretha Franklin to Aziz Ansari and Neil Young to Neil deGrasse Tyson. Before the pandemic, I led publicity and marketing efforts at Bader Rutter, the largest independent full-service advertising and marketing agency in Wisconsin and the largest agricultural marketing agency in the country that is quickly expanding into the Food & Beverage and Pet Care universes.   Wherever I find myself, I bring a wonderfully diverse experience with partnerships, proactive and reactive media relations, issues management, opening events, campaign launches, media training, spokesperson work, and writing. I am an experienced leader and manager who prides himself on managing and motivating teams as well as handling even the toughest of personalities. I am a creative and a big thinker and enjoy the challenge of thinking outside the box, building programs, and growing relationships.   My heart is solidly in MKE, and have been involved in many exciting projects that are becoming part of Milwaukee’s history, including The Hop (streetcar), Riverside Theater marquee, restaurant and venue openings, the first-ever Brewers Block Party, and the Point Fish Fry & Flick lakefront movie series.
