Ajita Patel is a Founder - Institute Of Ayurvedic Medicine (IAM) at Institute Of Ayurvedic Medicine based in Mission Viejo, California, United States, North America. My mission is to create a sanctuary for seekers and students who want to learn the art and science of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedantic knowledge. These treasures contain the secrets of health, contentment and how to live life  intelligently  and purposefully. We want to prepare mentors and role models who will represent this knowledge and bring  it to their families and communities so that there is greater harmony within the individual, with others and with our environment.  Our intention is to teach in a  traditional manner that  is  hands on  not just book study or cramming  information. Our students will be encouraged to question, contemplate and implement in their own lives what they are studying so that their knowledge comes from personal experience and transformation. Our physical health, the quality of our thoughts, our diet and behavior, the environment and consciousness  are all interrelated and beautifully addressed in Ayurveda.  To  understand this and use the tools that Ayurveda provides is to live mindfully, intelligently, to  prevent disease, create harmony and grow spiritually with deeper connection with others and to our own truth.
